Welcome to GHAP Badminton Club

A gay and lesbian badminton club based in Manchester city centre.

We aim to provide a friendly, relaxed and sociable environment  for lesbains and gays to improve their badminton.

We meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings, and Saturday afternoons every week to play badminton for a couple of hours. A few of us go to a nearby pub for a quick pint and a chat after the games. There is a good social side to the club with large groups of us meeting up  once a month or so for meals out, drinks in the village, walks in country, paintballing, BBQs etc etc

All standards and abilities are welcome from beginners to league players. We just ask that if you are coming along for the first time that you attend the Saturday afternoon sessions  initially.
Monday sessions are open again to existing players who are looking to improve and have a more challenging game.

Everyone is expected to mix with everyone else and play against all group members no matter what their ability. We try  to ensure that no two people play together in consecutive games. This ensures a better social mix and helps everyone to improve their standard of play.

We play to the new Badminton England rules which is  to 21points. Dont worry if this is not familiar to you as it is very easy to pick up and we are more than happy to explain the rules and help you adjust.
